Some background information

In the yard there is an open fireplace and a large, solid table made of ore pine with benches around it, placed under the roof of the service cabin.

The yard is strategically located in relation to the 5 fishing zones that the salmon camp has at its disposal. Each zone can be easily reached along a set of forest paths.

The fishing zones of Svingen, Arnøra, Tuvslåtten, Floen and Tillerholmen are different from each other and offer varied challenges and experiences for the fisherman.

Initially, the Fishing Camp consisted of just a simple forest cabin built in the late 1960s by Olav Solberg Tillermo. Together with the boathouse built at about the same time, this constituted the camp for many years. In 2007, the facility was expanded with a sleeping annex and a wood-fired sauna.

Olav was an avid salmon fisherman who spent many hours in the river hunting for large salmon. His passion for salmon and salmon fishing can be seen from the model of a 17 kilo large salmon he once caught at the fishing spot TUVSLÅTTEN. The model hangs on the wall in the main cabin in the yard.

While the main cabin is made of timber frame with wilderness panels, the sleeping annex and service cabin are made of timber quality. A wooden decking has been built between the 4 buildings in the yard.

In recent years, a group of friends with a strong dedication to fly fishing for salmon have kept the fishing traditions at Tillermo alive.
